Michelle and Oliver are planning their wedding long distance from Texas, so I was thrilled that we could squeeze an engagement session into their quick Tallahassee trip! Michelle & Oliver were so much fun to photograph– they were both so comfortable with the camera and comfortable with each other. They cracked each other up almost the entire session, which tells me that their wedding is going to be super fun!
I get very attached to all of my brides, but walking into Julia & Ray’s wedding it felt like everyone involved was an immediate friend. Julia’s nervous excitement, tears of joy and barely-containable leaps of joy at the reception kept a smile on my face all day, but the generally fairly stoic Ray’s hugs of thank you at the end of the night were priceless to us.

Jamie and Jason gave me a great theme for their engagement session– geek chic! I love that we could add some fun geeky twists to their downtown Tallahassee engagement session!
Whenever our clients come to us wanting a unique engagement session I get absolutely giddy! Nothing is wrong with a session at a park, but when someone has an interest or concept and gives me the freedom to run with it, I really feel like it is Christmas morning! We had a blast at St. Michael’s Pub– an amazing pool bar with TONS of awesome beer on tap!!
Bridal portraits are one of my very favorite sessions, but when you add a fun bride and tons of honking cars and onlookers, it becomes an absolute riot!
Heather decided that she wanted us to photograph her wedding LONG before there was even an engagement ring! She was a “blog stalker” for years, so when Ray popped the question, we were one of the first vendors she booked. Now that the wedding has come and gone, I am in shock that its over! It always seemed so far away! Its hard to imagine not getting all of Heather’s wedding planning emails!

Beautiful weather, an awesome venue, delicious food and a dance floor packed with all your friends and family…. yep, Leilani and Derrick could not have had a more picturesque wedding day! We were so thrilled to share their day with such a loving laid-back couple who gave us all the freedom in the world to capture their day as we saw it. From start to finish they were such a dream couple and I am so over the moon happy for them!

I still giggle thinking of Leilani & Derrick’s engagement session. They are so sweet and funny in general, but Leilani had me hysterically laughing as she would always forget to close her eyes when they kiss. She is just so nosey she is afraid she will miss something!
I can’t lie– I have been pee-my-pants excited for Michelle and Randy’s wedding. When you have a great friendship with your bride and groom as well as their bridal party, it just makes for a really fun wedding day! Then add in one of my most favorite wedding venues, tons of coverage time and free artistic reign… I am one happy girl! I am so thrilled they are now husband and wife and I am dying to share all their images with them!!
Heather has been so excited for her engagement session… I thought at one point she might just pop! She had the clothes all picked out, the location set and she was ready to go. And then… Ray went fishing. The sunburn that followed resulted in a flurry of emails and a reschedule for the portrait session. I honestly don’t think Heather will ever let Ray forget it! He was such a good sport about all the teasing and we ended up with a beautiful day in Southwood for their session!
